I'm in too...

I pitched this very same concept several months ago. I got virtually NO response, except for a brief email from a prominent name:
"I do not do personal endorsements."
That's when I decided the treadmill isn't worth it anymore. Life in the J-list is just fine with me.
(Count me in!)
Could I also claim #6, for my other blog http://maheshcr.com/self ??
Should be interesting!

***I was wondering who that one would fall to. With the trackbacks factored in, it may not be you after all. -Chuck
I'm probably messing up how I did the trackback but I posted it at http://thoughtleadersllc.blogspot.com. Help!
***Well, this qualifies for purposes of being considered. As for figuring out trackbacks and such, I'm not sure. Do you have pingbacks/trackback notifications enabled? It might be my fault somehow. -Chuck
One other thought - the "two weeks" piece works great for blogs that publish daily. We only publish 1-2x per week though (slightly longer "article" type format for my readership). Thoughts on how to handle?
***It's probably my fault. I've taken the plug-n-play approach on this blog so far with little tweaking. And that's a good question you've posed. I'll be addressing that and other details in my next post on the issue. -Chuck

Like some of the folks above, I don't yet understand the specific mechanics of trackbacks. But I will create a post that links back to this.
@ari: I agree that multiple groups might be needed at this rate!
Thanks and look forward to getting all the details, Chuck!

Heck, we could start a blog about others blogs. Or at least a forum. There's something similar at Nerds Eye View but that is travel blog specific.
Look forwards to this! Please be sure to include me in the group.

We write timeless posts that will be read by generations to come much like Aesop's Fairy Tales are read today. We don't get lots of readers today, but over times, maybe 100s of years, our readership slowly builds.
In our wills we make sure there is enough ongoing capital to support our blog hosting for eternity.
I'm not sure if you're still reading the comments 250+ in, but I would love to take part. I don't trust my CMS to request the trackback so I'm listed above, so you can find my article-as-entry here.
Amazing.

It certainly strikes me that many more folk write blogs than read them, and readers tend to be bloggers. Can we learn to savor reading more? Can we train the masses to read blogs daily? If the writing's really good, perhaps.
Thanks for a brilliant idea! And best of luck with it.
PS - Though my blog boasts maybe 20 readers tops, I love each one of them for giving me a chance.

Anyone who has started up such a site can direct me towards it with a comment on my blog (sindark.com). Please do so only once you have 7-14 posts. Commenting on 'hello world' posts is rarely very rewarding.

Suggestions:
1. Create teams of ~20
2. Add new content daily during promo
3. Each "team" member adds substantive comments during promo to promote discussion.
Thanks for coordinating this project, Chuck!

I have a few ideas: Create a social network for bloggers only. Heavily trafficked or popular sites can require more "diggs" before they reach the front page
Top level bloggers can introduce new blogs in a post every weekend or something like that. Anyway I subscribed through RSS and am looking forward to your updates
Thanks for creating this. Not sure how to link back to I will just leave my comment and get into the RSS feed thing.. hopefully, you guys will visit me some day! :0)
