This is an awesome project on two counts; one, it's just awesome and two, you seem to have found a place for yourself - something that really engages and helps people, both readers and writers. Very inspiring on all counts - thanks for the amazing work and for modeling the success of just getting on with it!!

I'd like to nominate October 5. I've been clicking around on this group, and when I first read that blog, it really made an impression. I've noticed it has had a similar effect on a lot of other users here, as well. Seems like there could be a lot to learn from him.

I hate to sound like an echo, but I concur with all the previous commenters who've said, more or less, that:
1. Variety and exposure to different styles is inherently a valuable exercise, but
2. So far, I haven't connected to FeverBee and feel I have nothing to say there (although I recognise the quality of the site and salute Rich's efforts).

Zoe's blog was very engaging for me and I did comment there, and have added her blog to my regular reads list. As a personal blogger myself, I look forward to reading the next blog in line too. I think it's more than OK that not every blog will engage every participant at the same level - it's different strokes for different folks, after all ;-)

Oh, and Chuck, as a project, I love this process and I think the work you are putting in is heroic. Way to build a community!

I have to agree that variety is a great thing. It is important to sample life, and I think the selections so far have done this - as well as everyone else that is participating. In my humble opinion, this is the best sample of truly social media and community in action (at least online community).

We talked about this earlier but I just wanted to reiterate that I think you're doing a fantastic job keeping this project going. I really liked Zoe's blog and learned a lot from her. Feverbee is a site I appreciate but that I can't quite connect to. Doesn't mean I'm not going to try and I won't stick around. :)

Looking forward to seeing what you roll out next.

I'm so glad you put this thing together, Chuck. I'm a baby blogger and it's been good to see such different blogs. Variety is good! I balked at FeverBee at first as I'm not doing the marketing thing but we ended up having that great little discussion about grammar/spelling. I know I can learn something new from any of the blogs you pick. @Kim, I wish I had your guts! :-)

While its been said in many similar ways above, I echo the 'I like the idea, and the opportunity to view blogs I may never have gotten to, plus it expands my horizons' sentiment. I started reading blogs to find those who offer personal commentary on life - hopefully in an entertaing way. I have found that and so much more. Glad to be along for the ride.

I want to be exposed to a lot of different writing styles and blog themes. That is why I joined in on this Round Robin Reading Thingy. Some will click with me, and some won't. I committed to reading the featured blog every day for two weeks, and I am doing exactly that. After two weeks, I will decide to add them to my reading list or not.

This is a great idea, and I appreciate all the work you are putting into it, Chuck. Good job!

I have to admit, I only visited FeverBee one time because it didn't seem like I could find something to comment on. While it is informative, I suffered from the problem of not knowing how I connected. But'll keep reading and glean what I can.

I don't like the diversity so much, but it forces me to broaden my mind, which is really the goal, especially at university. So Thank You!

Rich's blog has taken me a little while to get my head around, and to be honest, I didn't really know what RSS was three weeks ago. That said, I tend to pick up technological stuff at a fast pace and so being thrown at blogs such as Rich's remind me of it - and of how much fun it is!

I think you are doing a great job. Zoe's blog is still in my rss feeds, and Rich's blog is a blog I have to get used to, but I think it is important for me to open my mind to the diversity of the blogosphere, and not only stick to that which I know and am used to.

I'm definitely a personal blogger, but one of the things I love about the blogging community and the web in general is that I can explore other areas of interest outside myself. I've made the commitment to reading each of the featured blogs for 2 weeks(for now, I may have to change that as this grows). Will I stick with them all beyond the 2 weeks? Probably not.

But for me the goal is to test my own expectations and possibly broaden my horizons. And if nothing else, test out other "genres" of blogs that I might not have reached otherwise. One of the things I really like about the project is it does give the possibility for a wide range of tastes...not all communities have that diversity.

Variety is good. For my own blog, sometimes I feel obligated to write design related blogs, since majority of my readers are in that field. However, then I realized designers are "humans" too! :) If I happen to write something personal, or non-design related then it'd be OK too.

About 20% of my RSS feeds have nothing to do with design, they're made up by personal or humor blogs.

chuck - this is wonderful news! for someone like me (a "personal" blogger), i'm really excited.

i must say, though, reading posts by bloggers like zoe and rich has encouraged me to add more depth into what i have to say. i figure it will help me find the balance that i'm looking for.
