    Wow, that guy's hot!

This sounds exactly up my alley. Thanks Chuck.

I'm already laughing and can appreciate the Oprah fixation.
Johnny - she has already called me and I met her face-to-face...but I'm still waiting to be asked to be on her show.

this is so funny, i have to share it. in kindergarten, the teacher told us we could bring our favorite christmas album. most of the kids brought mickey mouse and donald duck. but, what did i bring? that's right, robert goulet's christmas. and, goulet, by the way, is french for elliott, which is my maiden name, so i told all the kids i was related to him. so, when the teacher played my album - the only christmas album my family ever owned b/c we were poor and probably didn't have a record player!!! - all the kids were so bored they took out their mats and fell asleep. gawd. i was five and mortified and have never forgiven my mother. so, i'm getting to the johnny truant part. when he was posting comments on zoë's site with that robert goulet icon, i was like, "who is that weirdo?" i thought zoë needed to be careful of him b/c it looked so lounge-lizardy and all, and i wouldn't click through to see his blog. i though he might be a stalker. hahahahahaha. now, he's your third pick. (hi johnny.)

You know, that's exactly the same thought I had when I first saw his old avatar. Goulet wasn't so iconic that I immediately grasped who it was, and the 'lounge singer' creepy guy is what I came away with.

For a second, I thought it was Clark G.

    Haha, jenx67's story is golden!

I've already found him and exchanged lameness banter! Good to see him being promoted over here too!

Yay! It's great to see Johnny as the next blogger on the blog-o-tour. This will be fun. *dons crash helmet* (:

headin' on over, to decide for myself.

Congratulations Johnny, I love your blog. If you go on Oprah will you tell her "Damn, would you shut up? Why did you invite me if you already knew everything?" I do not think Oprah would even let me be in her audience.

Did you just comment on your own blog calling yourself "hot"? Because that might be the most awesome thing I've ever seen.
  • Johnny Truant · 1 year ago
What the hell? No, I clearly commented on a blog PRAISING me and called myself hot. That's totally different.

Been bantering with Johnny and his other readers on lameness. I really should watch that because now all of this project has access to my lameness. Johnny, I blame YOU! LOL. I could say I lied, but I wrote the truth. More of a nerd than a geek. I think Johnny wants to be both, and sexy, too, which is something of a stretch, no?

Glad you made the pick, Johnny. See you on your blog.

Woot! I burst out laughing when I first read Johnny's blog -- the post where he artfully predicted election results. I'll probably be getting strange looks from my boyfriend these two weeks as I burst into random guffaws in front of the laptop...

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you want to 'plug your book on Oprah'! If your book is how to loose 50lbs for the 3rd time for ladies 50+, then I'd say you're a shoe-in for January programming.

    You're funny :) I'll be back.

LOL. I think Johnny aka Robert was actually discussed at our dining room table during our Thanksgiving meal. Chuck...great choice...Johnny...can't wait to chuckle as we are about to head into the bleary drawn out long days of winter...

Chuck - I have another suggestion for a blog to follow. http://bettyduffy.blogspot.com/. This is a mother of five children, and she is just brilliant. She is Catholic and provides great glimpses into her faith and journey. I think she qualifies as a brilliant, though under-appreciated blogger. Thanks for your consideration. Are you going to do the blog niches on the new site? Maybe she'd fit there. Also, can you repost the link to the forum? I've lost it.

Johnny! My main man. Couldn't be happier that you've been tagged. Have been following all of your good comments in Chuck's forum. (That's a plug, folks--check it out. ;-)
